This is a Large piece of P.Ipsens Enke,Dutch Copenhagen art Pottery Charger.This has a design of a Large "Koi" Gold Fish. This is made and signed "AS" by Master Ceramist *Axel Soerensen* who was pivatal in the success of the P.Ipsens Enke Art Pottery Factory c1843-1955. *Axel Soerensen* (1891-1967) was at P.Ipsens from 1923-1945. Axel was the son of a fisherman. There lists 348 different items assigned to Axel Soerenson so it makes this Charger rare and unique. You might see a few of the P.Ipsens Enke pieces listed but not this large and beautiful. The rim has 2 glaze flakes and does not in any way take away from the uniqueness and beauty of this Rare Item!
