    Description

    VINTAGE NYMOLLE TANKARD MUG
    DENMARK ARTIST: PAUL HOYRUP
    Paul Hoyrup design vintage Nymolle tankard style mug
    Nymolle art pottery vase from a local estate here in California. Nymolle was founded in Fuurstrom, Denmark shortly before WWII producing domestic wares. After the war production shifted to artistic lines with almost all of the output from the firm during the first ten years being designed by Bjorn Wiinblad.
    This unique "BREWERY" décor was created by Paul Hoyrup in the 1960's. The MUG has a striking modernist design with clean lines to the hexagonal form. The tightly arranged graphic shows very fine detail throughout. This brew mug has minor damage as pictured and  measures 4 3/4" high and 3 1/2" across the base.
    The base bears the production number "3779-291" although I may be reading that incorrectly.
