This listing is for our dried plankton for hermit crabs. Our dried plankton is loaded with chitin, which is a must have for healthy crab exoskeletons. Plankton packs a great protein punch and has high levels of astaxanthin, a naturally occurring color boosting pigment. Astaxanthin helps crabs have more vibrant coloring.

Serving size for all products: ⅛ - ¼ tsp per 3 crabs. If feeding in combination with other foods, you can likely use less.

**A word of caution for those sensitive to smell--all of our items have undergone minimal processing to ensure the integrity of nutrients. Since our items are not highly processed, they retain their natural scents. For example, fish based foods will smell like fish.**
All products can be safely stored for up to two years in a cool, dark location in properly sealed containers.
