So you know... I've unframed my own copy of this brilliant poster to sell.
This is one of the BEST and most original posters I've sold . Huge 26" x 17", printed on heavy green stock. The enlarged dot pattern of John Cale's face is semi-gloss. The two insects printed in flat white are a result of a custom overprint that produces two images, depending on your viewing angle. An expensive process that concert promoters rarely indulge in since it won't sell a single extra ticket. The grasshoppers become clearer in Cale's semi-gloss hair (but only at the proper angle, see pic), giving the flat white a reflective quality. VERY UNIQUE and very dominating poster. The "Stag Line" across his face (you know, like the black lines hiding identities in old time porno movies) holds all of the concert's details. There are two issues... some crippling on the right hand side that a frame will partially disguise (but not entirely) and a minor bent corner in the lower right (which looks a hair worse in the jpeg than real life). As rare as this item is... these are easy issues to swallow for this nearly quarter century old vintage poster. Hard to believe that this was NOT designed to be sold... only to promote two concerts and then expected to disappear. That's downright criminal... and INCREDIBLE.
