    This Dia-Sharp diamond sharpening stone is EXTRA-EXTRA FINE.  Unlike some diamond stones, the diamond coating is continuous across the face of the plate and it is the 3"x8" size -- not the smaller stones that create some confusion.  In other words, not all diamond stones are alike.  One has to be the best and there's consensus that this is it.
