Make sure to apply thin layer oil or (better use grease) on the outside of the Choke and make sure to clean the chokes well and threads to finalize a good gas seal between choke and barrel. During shooting: Make sure to unload your shotgun and make regular inspections that the choke is firmly installed. Only use standard factory loaded shells with wad-cup (shot-cup).
Marking rings
Marking is on the head to make it easy to confirmation what type of choke you have. It also comes with rims on the head indicating the constriction.
This choke have a

The straight conical design is nicer to soft lead pellets to allow a better pattern with less stray pellets/shots.

Constriction numbers are nominal. Usually chokes come +.002" /-.002" large/smaller than listed and expands the first 25 shots towards the given constriction.
